We’re waiting with anticipation for Friday’s announcement from DraftKings about their whole summer of weekend offerings and promotions. They’ve dubbed the promo Sportsbook Summer Fridays, which will launch in just a few days (Friday at 12:01 a.m.).
Could it have something to do with Mickey Mouse? Cinderella? Maybe a tie-in to the new Aladdin film? While it may seem strange, Disney now owns a stake in DraftKings Sportsbook thanks to the recent marriage of DraftKings parent, The Stars Group, and Fox, one of Disney’s many properties.
Nah, probably not, but it’s fun to think of all the ways there could be a crossover between the two.
Maybe they’re planning on ramping up and offering special odds boosts on obscure summer sports, like table tennis, the Steeplechase, or synchronized swimming?
With the 50th World Series of Poker in full swing in Las Vegas, fun prop bets are always a highlight of reporting. Could DraftKings plan on getting in on the action? See if Phil Ivey can subsist off of hot dogs during the entire Main Event? Who can make a final table wearing a gorilla suit? Wait, is poker even considered a sport?
Coming into the July 4th weekend means the MLB All-Star Break. Maybe there will be some free bet offers on the Home Run Derby or double odds on which league will take home the win.
