Caesars & M Life Casino Players Rewards Programs Extend 2020 Tier Benefits
The unprecedented closings of all nine Atlantic City casinos since March 16 have been devastating to the local economy. Two months later, the casinos remain closed. This has many NJ casino players and sports bettors worried about their status in their favorite casino player’s rewards programs.
How will the prolonged AC casino closures impact players’ benefits?
Gamblers can still earn comps and tier credits by playing online. But they probably won’t earn as many as they would if they could visit the casino. In addition, no one wants to lose the rewards, benefits, and tier status they have already earned due to inactivity over which they have no control.
Lastly, programs like Caesars Rewards and M life Rewards determine tier status and award benefits on a year-to-year basis. In order to qualify for any of the higher tiers for the following year, players need to earn a minimum designated number of tier credits within the preset earning period. For example, in the past, the period for earning Caesars Rewards Tier Credits was January 1 through December 31. For M Life Tier Credits, it was October 1 through September 30.
Caesars Rewards and M life Rewards are already responding to their players’ concerns
The two biggest players rewards programs for NJ casino players and sports bettors, Caesars Rewards and M Life Rewards, have great news for you. Recent official announcements from both loyalty programs state that appropriate updates are already in place. These will ensure that players will retain their existing benefits for an extended period.
The number of Tier Credits needed to qualify for each of the program’s higher tiers for 2021 is also being lowered.
How Caesars Rewards is making accessing casino players rewards program benefits easier
Three Atlantic City casinos, Bally’s, Caesars, and Harrah’s, along with two online casinos—Caesars Casino & Sportsbook and Harrah’s Online Casino–are all part of the vast nationwide network of participating Caesars Rewards casinos. Tony Rodio, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, wants all players to know that Caesars Rewards will not only extend their 2020 Tier Status and benefits but lower the requirements for qualifying for a higher tier. The following changes are now in effect:
-
Extended 2020 Tier Status and Benefits
Caesars Entertainment will extend your 2020 Tier Status and benefits through January 31, 2022. This should give you ample time to enjoy your rewards.
-
Qualifying for a higher tier in 2020 will become easier.
Caesars Rewards has lowered the minimum number of Tier Credits required to qualify for each higher tier. The new minimums are shown below.
Minimum Required No. of Tier Credits
Tier Status | Previous Minimum | New Minimum for 2020 |
Platinum | 5,000 Tier Credits | 4,000 Tier Credits |
Diamond | 15,000 Tier Credits | 12,000 Tier Credits |
Diamond Plus | 25,000 Tier Credits | 20,000 Tier Credits |
Diamond Elite | 75,000 Tier Credits | 60,000 Tier Credits |
Seven Stars | 150,000 Tier Credits | 125,000 Tier Credits |
-
Extended expiration date for 2020 Reward Credits
Ordinarily, earned Reward Credits expire whenever six months elapse with no player activity. However, to compensate for the casino closings in 2020, you will be given more time. No player’s Rewards Credits will expire because of inactivity before September 1, 2020, at the earliest.
-
Additional options to earn Reward Credits and Tier Credits faster after the casinos reopen
Once the casinos reopen, Caesars Rewards will make it easier for its thousands of loyal players not only to pick up where they left off but make up for lost time. Players will receive special offers to earn Reward Credits and Tier Credits at a faster rate.
For example, Caesars Rewards will offer a monthlong 5x Reward Credits and Tier Credits promotion along with other special events and promotions.
How M life Rewards is making accessing benefits easier
The NJ casinos participating in the M life Players Rewards Program include Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, Borgata Online Casino and Sportsbook, and BetMGM Online Casino and Sportsbook.
Mike Stratton, Senior Vice President, Direct Marketing and Loyalty at M life Rewards, has announced that, like Caesars Rewards, M life Rewards is revamping its casino players rewards program. Players can look forward to newly instituted provisions with regard to membership status and rewards based on play at the above casinos or any other M life affiliated casinos.
M life is “committed to taking the necessary actions to ensure your loyalty.” It has therefore instituted or will institute shortly the following updates.
-
Extended expiration date for Point and Express Comps
No player’s Point or Express Comps will expire between now and September 30, 2020.
-
Tier Status and Tier Credits
As of this writing, no specific announcements have been made. However, M life Rewards is working on devising a fair way for players to maintain their current tier for an extended time as well as make it easier to qualify for a higher tier.
-
Create new offers and promotions when the casinos reopen to make up for previous ones that expired or were canceled
M life casinos will substitute or create new special offers and promotions to compensate for canceled or expired events, entertainment, offers, and giveaways, including free play, slot dollars, and other player appreciation gifts.
