Distribution of prizes

The races with $60K or $75K fixed prize pools still leave many players with no prize at all. But 500 players in the $60K race and 7,500 players in the $75K race do win prizes.

With such a huge number of prizes to award, in contrast to some very attractive prizes for players who finish very high up on the leaderboard, the prizes for those who still qualify for a prize but wind up in the bottom sector, are quite small.

In the September race, however, only the top 20 players on the leaderboard win a prize based on their finish (five more players than in the March and June races which also included the Everyone’s A Winner feature). But (as with the March and June races), there’s not a single small prize in the lot.

Top prizes for the top 20 players

Since what the final prize pool will amount to remains unknown until the end of the earning period (Sept. 30 at 11:59 p.m.), the exact amount of each prize remains unknown until then as well.

However, the player who finishes the month on top is guaranteed to win at least $15,000 bonus money. Also, even the player who finishes in 20th place is guaranteed to win at least $250 bonus money.

Additional secondary prizes

And each day that you deposit $50 or more, you earn leaderboard points even faster.

How much can you win?

The June race features all of the following:

• $100,000+ in guaranteed bonus money prizes
• A guaranteed prize of at least $1,000 bonus money to the top 15 players
• A guaranteed top prize of at least $15,000 bonus money
• Everyone, including those not in the top 15, who has opted in with a deposit of $50 or more and earns at least 50 leaderboard points will win a share of the prize pool!

The prize pool opened with $85,000, as compared to the $60,000 prize pool up for grabs most months. However, the prize pool for June has been increasing daily ever since and will continue to do so for the duration of the race.

By the end of the month, a prize pool of at least $100K is guaranteed. However, it could soar to as much as $116K.

Each day in June when at least one player wins $15K or more, Golden Nugget will add another $200 to the prize pool. However, each day in June when no one wins at least $15K, the casino will add another $1,000 to the prize pool.

Distribution of prizes

Since the size of the final prize pool is still unknown, the exact amounts of each individual prize have yet to be determined. However, all prizes will be in the form of bonus money, and depending on their end-of-the-month leaderboard ranking, the top 15 players this month are guaranteed to win at least the following:

Once all of these guaranteed prizes are distributed, whatever bonus money still remains in the prize pool will then be divvied up equally among all eligible participants. In other words, the same 15 players will receive a second prize, but everybody else who deposited at least $20 and earned at least 50 leaderboard points will also receive that prize.

All prizes will be determined and distributed by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1.

Additional wagering requirements for clearing the bonuses

It would be great if after all the wagering you have done all month long, you could receive your prize(s) as immediately withdrawable cash. However, Golden Nugget will be awarding all prizes in the form of bonus money instead. So before you will be permitted to withdraw either the prize money itself or any additional winnings therefrom, you need to meet additional wagering requirements.

Those of you who are lucky enough to receive two prizes from this promotion will have two bonuses to clear. The rest of you will have one bonus to clear.

That’s the bad news, but here’s the good news. The additional wagering that the casino requires is very minimal.

First, you need to decide whether you prefer to accept your prize as a casino bonus or as a sports bonus. If you win two prizes, you can take one of each, if you wish, but you cannot combine both casino play and sports bets to clear the same bonus. You have up to seven days from the time you receive your bonus to clear it.

Casino bonus

If you choose the casino bonus, your best bet is to clear it with slot play. Choose any game or combination of games you wish, but try to stay clear of the 21 “excluded slots” (see the Golden Nugget NJ website for the complete list) so you only have to wager the bonus 1x. You still have 668 slots to choose from, so a good strategy would be to check the stats in the “i” tab on the game’s return to player (RTP) and only pick games with an RTP of 96 percent or higher.

If you clear the bonus with table games instead, the wagering requirement would jump to 4x the bonus. If you clear the bonus with any of the 21 excluded slots, you face a 5x bonus wagering requirement.

Sports bonus

If you choose the sports bonus, you also only have to wager the bonus 1x to clear it.
