Terms and conditions

Not so great features

A cross sport boosted odds parlay is exactly what it sounds like. For example, on Friday, May 17 the following offer was available:

• Blue Jays and Raptors both to win outright at +625 odds.

That looked like a risky bet to me given how well the Milwaukee Bucks had been playing at home. And sure enough, while the Blue Jays won, the Raptors lost, so the booster bet would have been a loser.

During the long football season, astute sports bettors should find many standout booster bet opportunities. However, if you’re brand new to sports betting, you should probably take a pass.

Future bets

Carefully selected future bets can also be an excellent investment. For example, during the off season for the NFL, NBA, or NHL, as well as after the season has started, on Borgata Sports, you can bet on which team you think will win its division, conference, or the overall championship. However, because you are choosing from a much bigger field of contenders and making the bet with a lot less information than last minute bettors would have, your odds might be much more favorable.

Besides the greater degree of uncertainty, another drawback of future bets is that you have to tie up the money far in advance. Those with limited betting bankrolls who depend on their winnings to finance future bets will need to budget accordingly and not count on cashing in on their future bets anytime soon, if at all.

Borgata online and mobile sportsbook loyalty program

Sadly, no loyalty program for sports bettors exists at this time. Also, during a recent visit to the Borgata Race & Sports Book, when I inquired whether there were any plans in the works to correct this shortcoming, I was told there were not.

In fact, upon double checking what, if any, comp program or other rewards sports bettors at the Borgata Race & Sports Book might be eligible for, I received the same answer. This is contrary to the information I was given initially that sports bettors would earn comp dollars at the rate of 1% of their wagers.

This is in marked contrast with the perks and benefits that sports bettors at the Caesars owned NJ sportsbooks receive: free drinks for anyone betting $50 or more along with Reward Credits and Tier Credits that can be combined with those earned at any affiliated Caesars owned casino or partner.
