Wynn has been a top name in the gambling industry for years, but it was not until August 2020 that Wynn Sportsbook expanded outside the state of Nevada by opening its online sportsbook in New Jersey.

When you sign up and make your first deposit on Wynn’s app, you’ll be eligible for  $100 in bonuses, simply be placing a single $100 wager. In the following sections, we’ll detail how the offer works and walk you through creating your account, as well as going over how it works when it comes to making deposits and withdrawals, what you can and can’t bet on, and much more.

And check back with this page, as we will update if and when Wynn Sportsbook in New Jersey adds new offers or promotions to make sure you’re up to date.

WynnBET Sportsbook New Jersey bonus: $100 max value

Wynn joins a long list of online sportsbooks that offer new customers an incentive to open an account and make a deposit. Here is a breakdown of Wynn’s exact offer and what you need to do in order to claim it.

First, the offer is for $100 in bonuses. This is awarded as a $50 bet credit and $50 in bonus money at WynnBET online casino.

Summary

Wynn Sportsbook opened is online sportsbook in New Jersey in August 2020, the second state after operating in Nevada. Though it hasn't begun offering any additional promotions for NJ bettors, we like what we see with their welcome bonus, mobile app and betting markets. We're looking forward to seeing what Wynn has in store for New Jersey in the coming months.

4.0

Promotions at Wynn online sports betting

As for other promos beyond the one mentioned above, there are not any at the present time. That likely will not be the case going forward because in order to be competitive in such a strong sports betting market as New Jersey, Wynn will need to keep up with some of the other top sportsbooks.

As for what you can expect Wynn’s promotions to be, we can start by looking at what other sportsbooks offer to get some idea.

At DraftKings, players often will see odds boosts for select games and prop bets, while early in the 2020 NFL season it even increased the potential profit by 25% for all games during Week 1 and Week 2 of the season.

Meanwhile, FanDuel has offered promotions in which the line on NBA and NFL games increased based on how many people placed bets on it. At the end of those promotions, it was almost guaranteed everyone would win their bets.

So, if Wynn is going to be a major player in the Jersey sports betting market, chances are it will need to come up with similar promos to entice customers.

Is Wynn Sportsbook legal in New Jersey?

Definitely. In order to be legal, Wynn’s online sportsbook had to be approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and undergo five days of a soft launch before being released to the public at large. Wynn did that in early August of 2020 and has been legal in the state ever since.

It’s interesting that Wynn Sportsbook in New Jersey has its odds and lines provided by a company from Germany, BetBull, which is different from the company that provides the numbers at Wynn’s Nevada sportsbook. This means the odds for us in Jersey could be different from what people encounter at Wynn’s Vegas properties: Encore Las Vegas and Wynn Las Vegas.

Lastly, remember that betting on colleges and universities from New Jersey is not allowed in the state. It also is illegal to wager on any NCAA sporting contests that take place in New Jersey, regardless of which teams are playing.

How to create an account at Wynn NJ Sportsbook

Let’s walk you through creating an account on the Wynn sports betting app, and, honestly, it might take you longer to read this section than it will to get your account up and running.

  1. Download the Wynn app for your iPhone, iPad or Android device by using our links. You most likely will need to click OK when asked for permission to do so on your phone or tablet.
  2. Once the Wynn app has been installed, you’ll want to open it and select register.
  3. Now you’ll be required to supply both your first and last name, email and home address, your birthday, a home or cellphone number and the last four digits of your Social Security number. After that, you’ll select and then answer two additional security queries. If Wynn is able to verify your identity, you’re all done. If not, you’ll move on to Step 4.
  4. If Wynn wasn’t able to confirm who you are, you’ll now have to upload some form of identification and proof of home address. The great news is that your driver’s license can do both. You also can use a passport photo or the photo of your utility bill for each.

And there you have it. Your Wynn Sportsbook account should be all ready to go.

Wynn Sportsbook app review

It appears unlikely that Wynn will have a retail sportsbook location anytime soon, so your only option for betting at Wynn in New Jersey will be via the app. The Wynn app can be downloaded for free — just use our links — and works equally well with Android or Apple devices.

The previous section walked you through creating your Wynn Sportsbook account, so check that out if you’re just getting started. Otherwise here’s our thoughts on Wynn’s sports betting app.

First up is our favorite feature and that’s the bet slip. Most sportsbooks’ bet slips are pretty much identical and work just fine, but at Wynn when you go to place a bet, the slip pops up small and in the corner, which makes creating parlays super easy. At some books, once you make one selection, it takes up the entire screen, forcing you to navigate out before adding another selection. And on top of that, you can choose to enter either the amount you want to wager or the amount you’d like to win in the bet slip, which is a great addition we’d like to see at more sportsbooks.

As for the rest of the Wynn sportsbook app, it’s very easy to navigate around. Everything is clearly labeled, although you might not notice that the Wynn logo in the upper left corner opens up the main menu of sports. Otherwise, everything is very easy to see and get to.

We believe the app itself is great for both novice and experienced bettors alike because it’s not cluttered with excess frills that can sometimes bog down other sportsbook apps.

Wynn Online Sportsbook features and benefits

With Wynn yet to announce any promotions or special offers that it plans on having for existing customers, it makes the sportsbook’s Bet $100, Get $100 the best offer by far right now. We detailed how to take advantage of that WynnBET welcome bonus higher up on this page, so be sure to check it out.

As for other features we like at Wynn Sportsbook, there’s the bet slip that is among the best out there at online sportsbooks. But other than that, the features and benefits that Wynn has definitely are a little lackluster at the moment.

That’s not to say Wynn is a bad sportsbook; we don’t think that at all; it is just a little bland at the moment. Its lines are competitive with other top books in New Jersey, and it obviously has a trusted name in the gambling and sports betting industries. We simply would like to see it offer a little more when it comes to promos, bonuses or some type of loyalty program in order to incentivize bettors to frequent its sportsbook.

Types of sports bets available on the Wynn Sportsbook NJ

As is the case with most major sportsbooks in New Jersey, and really anywhere in the US, you’re able to make all the sports bets you can imagine at Wynn’s online sportsbook, with one glaring omission. That omission is futures wagers. There’s a spot for them listed on the Wynn app, so we expect they’ll be available soon, so we still will go over how they function in the paragraphs to follow.

Here’s our look at the types of bets you can make at Wynn, with a brief explanation and example of how they work for those of you who are new to sports wagering.

First up are moneyline bets. These are straightforward wagers in which you’re selecting which team you think will win a given game. You’ll know which team is the favorite because it will have negative odds, and the underdogs will have positive figures. For example, say the New York Mets are playing the Philadelphia Phillies and the Mets are slight favorites. It could say Mets -132, Phillies +114. What those numbers mean has to do with winning or betting $100. If you picked the Mets, you would need to bet $132 to win exactly $100, while if you picked the Phillies, you would win $114 by making a $100 bet.

Next up are point spreads. In point spreads, the sportsbook provides a number that the favored team must win by more than, whereas the underdog must keep the game closer or win outright for your bet to win. Let’s look at an example to help make it easier to understand. We’ll say the Philadelphia 76ers are playing the New York Knicks and the 76ers are favored by 8.5 points. If you bet on Philly to cover the spread, it will need to win by more than 8.5 points, so nine points or more. While if you’re betting on the Knicks, they simply need to lose by fewer than 8.5 points, so eight points or fewer. If the final score is Philly 100-90, then a bet on the 76ers would win, while a wager on the Knicks would lose.

Then we’ve got totals or over/under bets. Here all you’re doing is picking whether the actual number in a game will be lower or higher than the number provided by Wynn Sportsbook. In an NHL game between the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils, the over/under for goals scored in the game might be 5.5. If the Devils win the game 4-2, then bets on the over would win (4+2=6).

Prop bets can be a fun type of bet, and it’s one that is seemingly growing in popularity. They first became popular during the Super Bowl years ago, and you still see large amounts bet on the coin flip before the game. Prop bets can be on any number of big or small events during games. An example of an NFL prop bet might be whether the first points of a game between the New York Giants and New York Jets will be scored by a passing, rushing or receiving touchdown by either team, via a field goal or on a safety.

Then there are parlays, another very popular form of sports betting because the potential reward for getting parlays right can be sky-high. Parlays are basically multiple bets stuffed into one single bet, where you need to get every pick you make right in order to cash in. We’ll say you want to bet on the Mets (-112), Yankees (-130), and Phillies (+235) all winning one night. When combined, the odds for such a bet would be about +1027, which means a $10 parlay would win you more than $100. Not bad for just having to pick three games correctly.

And lastly, we’ve got futures. Futures usually have to do with picking teams to win their division, conferences, or overall championships. You also will see futures markets for team win totals during the regular season. There also are player’s futures markets for most major sports. So you might see Jets quarterback Sam Darnold or Giants QB Daniel Jones listed at something like +30000 to win the NFL MVP award.

Sports you can bet on at Wynn in New Jersey

Wynn NJ Sportsbook has the top four sports leagues in the US covered as well as a few others. Here’s a look at the sports you can bet on at Wynn.

You can pick from both college and NFL football, so if you are a Giants, Jets, or Eagles fan, they’re all available. As for college, it’s all there as well, except for teams based in New Jersey, as mentioned above.

Of course, there’s the NBA, WNBA, and college basketball to bet on at the Wynn online sportsbook. So all you Nets fans from their days in New Jersey and you long-suffering Knicks fans and those of you still trusting the process in Philly can wager as much as you’d like.

Major League Baseball is obviously huge in these parts, as well. Whether you’re cheering on the Yankees as they go after yet another championship, rooting for the Mets to get back to the top, or following the Phillies, you can bet on them at Wynn.

We can’t forget about the NHL, as we’ve got four teams in Jersey and nearby to follow and bet on. Whether it’s the hometown New Jersey Devils, the Rangers, and Islanders in New York or the Flyers in Philadelphia, they’re all options on Wynn’s sports betting app.

You also can bet on other sports like the PGA Tour, tennis (both the WTA and ATP), UFC, and both US and international soccer. However, the one top sport that isn’t available yet at Wynn is auto racing of any kind. So if you’re looking for NASCAR or IndyCar racing to bet on, then Wynn isn’t the place for you as of right now.

How to deposit and cash out on the Wynn app

Wynn Sportsbook has updated its depositing and withdrawing methods! While there still aren’t a lot of options, there are definitely enough to give you a couple of options to choose from:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • PayPal, Play+ Card

You can also deposit your funds in person at Caesars Atlantic City Casino.

Additionally, these methods work for both depositing and withdrawing funds.

How to contact Wynn customer support

In a perfect world, you’ll never have any reason to contact customer support, but we know this isn’t a perfect world, so if you do need help, there are three ways to get it at Wynn.

You can call at 201-383-2837. You also can click on the Support and FAQ tab in the main menu on the app and either start a chat or email the support staff.

As you may have noticed when clicking on that link there also is a list of frequently asked questions; check those out to see if your problem already has a solution to save yourself some time.

Responsible gambling at WynnBET sports betting

Just like you’ll find at all respected sportsbooks and gambling establishments, Wynn promotes responsible gambling.

At Wynn Sportsbook you can set limits as to how much time you can spend on the site, how much money you can put into your account, and how much money you can gamble at any one time.

If you need more, there’s the option to give yourself a cooling-off period, where you’ll be unable to access your account for a set number of days. And finally, you can lock yourself out of the app entirely for either one or five years.

You also will find information on the app that has to do with taxes, which even includes both W-2G and W-9 forms.
