Some NJ gambling websites make you wait until the weekend or longer before they roll out their next special promotion. Then, if it is not to your liking, tough luck because that’s all the casino is offering, take it or leave it.
But at Borgata Online Casino, during the entire month of August, regardless of whether you play only occasionally, once or twice a week, or every day or nearly every day, a bonus or other special offer is guaranteed.
That’s because Borgata Online Casino has a different offer for every day of the week. All you have to do is log in, claim the offer, and play, and extra bonus dollars and loyalty points (iRPs) can be yours.
Why settle for just one bonus per week when you get new bonuses every day?
Power Hour: Every Wednesday and Friday in August
We’ve all heard stories of someone hitting a massive jackpot on the first pull of a slot machine or when the player is down to the last bet of the day. But this kind of fantastic luck is highly unlikely.
Ordinarily, when it comes to gambling, money is power. It’s the ammunition you need to be able to maximize your chances to close out your playing session with a big win.
Therefore, if your account balance is running low and probably won’t be sufficient for you to play at your intended bet level you should probably make a deposit. However, much more often than not, if the casino is offering any deposit match bonus at all, it is a one-shot deal. If your play that day doesn’t go as hoped and you wind up losing both your deposit and the bonus, which could happen, you’re out of luck. You could make another deposit, but you won’t get another bonus.
On Wednesdays and Fridays this month at Borgata Online Casino, no worries. You can make one deposit after another–up to 10 in all per day–and receive a bonus every time!
How to participate in the Borgata Online Casino Power Hours promotion
Borgata Online Casino is offering this promotion every Wednesday and Friday in August. Here are the steps you need to follow every day you wish to participate.
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account.
- Go to My Bonuses and enter the bonus code POWERHOURSBC. You may do so up to 10 times on any given day of the promotion.
- Make a single deposit of $20 or more.
The casino will match each qualifying deposit with bonus dollars, which will be credited to your account immediately. However, the website does not specify the percentage match, so it is not clear whether the amount of the bonus is fixed or random. The maximum bonus you can receive on any one day is $100.
Wagering requirements for the bonus dollars
Unlike most BorgataCasino.com bonuses, which carry a wagering requirement of 15x the bonus, the requirement for clearing each Wednesday and Friday power bonus is 15 iRPs. You may play any game you wish, and wagers made the bonus money, as well as your own funds, count.
However, until the bonus is fully cleared, both the bonus and any resulting winnings will remain temporarily restricted. You will have full access to all of this money (or whatever is left of it) as soon as you have completed the necessary wagering. The website neglects to mention the time limit for clearing the bonus, however. Keep in mind that you can only clear one bonus at a time.
Sunset Roulette: Every Wednesday in August from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
If playing during the day isn’t convenient for you, no problem. Borgata Online Casino is offering another bonus opportunity every Wednesday in August for those who prefer to play at night.
If roulette is your game, simply deposit $100 or more between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. and start playing. You can play any roulette game you wish, including Live Dealer Roulette. If your luck doesn’t go as hoped, you will receive a 15% cashback bonus on your net loss.
The maximum cashback you can get is $100. But for that, you would first need to show a net loss during the promotion period of $500 or more. Hopefully, that won’t happen.
And hopefully, you won’t lose anything, because winning–even without the bonus—is a far better outcome. But if you do lose, it’s reassuring to know that the casino has your back. You will get a generous cashback bonus with no further wagering required. If you want to withdraw the money immediately, you can.
How to participate in the Borgata Online Casino Sunset Roulette promotion
Here are the easy steps you need to follow between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on those Wednesdays when you would like to participate.
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account.
- Go to My Promotions and opt in to the Sunset Roulette promotion.
- Make a single deposit of $100 or more.
- Choose a roulette game and play.
Three Spins Thursday
Every Thursday in August, Borgata Online Casino will give you three free spins on the Fruit Spin slot game.
How to participate
Each Thursday that you wish to participate, simply do the following:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account.
- Go to Account – Free Spins and claim the offer for that day.
- Take your three free spins on Fruit Spin.
All winnings will be in the form of bonus dollars credited to your account. Wagering requirements apply. See the next section for the details.
Wagering requirements for the bonus dollars
All winnings from the Thursday free spins come with a wagering requirement of 20x the bonus. You may choose any game you wish, and it will count 100 percent. While you won’t earn any iRPs on the free spins, you will earn them on all of your wagers to clear the bonus.
You only have one day to complete the wagering. While this wagering is still in progress, both the bonus money you won from the free spins and any additional associated winnings will remain temporarily unavailable for withdrawal. Afterwards, as long as you complete the wagering in time, all of this money (or what’s left of it) will become available to you. However, opting out, attempting to withdraw the funds before they become available, or failure to complete the wagering in time will cause you to forfeit the entire amount.
Saturdays in the Park
Play on your mobile device on Saturdays and earn a guaranteed bonus of up to $1,000!
While you love playing online slots, the last thing you want to do on a hot, sunny August weekend is to be cooped up in the house in front of your computer all day. But you won’t have to because this Saturday offer from Borgata is a win-win-win.
Have your fun in the sun, but bring along your smartphone or tablet so you can play your favorite slot games–and while you’re at it, even collect a bonus!
I can’t tell you ahead of time what your bonus will be because until you earn the 5 iRPs needed to unlock it, the amount is a mystery. This time only slot games count. Also, like most other bonuses you receive at this casino, before you can withdraw either the bonus or any associated additional winnings, you have until 11:59 p.m. the next day only to wager the bonus 15x. Those wagers can be on any game you wish.
By the way, if this promotion sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Some of you might have already taken advantage of it in July. Now the identical offer is back again every Saturday in August. My July 19 post on this website, which you can access here, gives you all the details.
Another guaranteed mystery bonus of up to $1,000 is yours for the taking every Sunday in August. And this time you not only don’t need to make a deposit to get your bonus; you don’t need to do any prior wagering either!
Simply log into your BorgataCasino.com account, go to My Promotions to opt into the offer, and then open your special card to reveal your bonus. While you have until 11:59 p.m., my advice is to do so much earlier because, once again, as with the Saturday bonus, you only have until 11:59 p.m. the following day to meet the 15x bonus wagering requirement.
Hopefully, many of you scooped up the Summer Sundae bonuses that Borgata was serving in July. But even if you missed out then, here’s your chance to make up for it. Like the Saturday in the Park promotion, the Summer Sundae promotion has been extended. I can’t imagine a sweeter treat from a NJ online casino, so don’t let a single remaining Sunday in August go by without getting yours.
This promotion is also described in my July 19 post. You can read all the details here.
No one likes to see the weekend come to an end. But thanks to Borgata, Mondays can be anything but monotonous or predictable, too.
In another post, which you can access here, you can learn all about the exciting Worker’s Comp promotion that Borgata Online Casino is offering from 9 to 5 every Monday and Thursday in August.
But that’s not all. Play Great Guardians every Monday in August and multiply your rewards with 2x iRPs on every spin!
Play and Earn Tuesday
Tuesday is another great day to play your favorite Borgata online casino games. Play any game you wish and receive a new bonus every time you reach a new designated iRP level. Earn up to $200 bonus dollars every Tuesday in August!
How to participate
Here’s what you need to do each Tuesday in August you would like to participate:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account.
- Go to My Promotions and opt in to the Play and Earn promotion.
- Start playing!
Points required to earn each bonus dollars reward
The following table shows the number of points you will need to earn to unlock each successive bonus.
|Points Required||Bonus Dollar Reward|
|100 iRPs||$5 Bonus Dollars|
|300 iRPs||$10 Bonus Dollars|
|500 iRPs||$10 Bonus Dollars|
|750 iRPs||$25 Bonus Dollars|
|1500 iRPs||$50 Bonus Dollars|
|3000 iRPs||$100 Bonus Dollars|
As the above table shows, the smallest bonus you can get is only $5, for which you need to earn 100 iRPs. But as you continue to play, you can earn a lot more—all the way up to $100 bonus dollars for 3,000 iRPs. If you make it to all six iRP levels, you will receive a grand total of $200 bonus dollars!
Wagering requirements for the Tuesday bonuses
Before you will be able to withdraw your Tuesday bonus dollars along with any additional resulting winnings, you guessed it. You will need to wager each bonus 15x. Any game is fine and will count 100 percent and, of course, you will earn more loyalty points for all of these wagers on top of all of the iRPs you already earned.
More good news is that you have an extra day–until 11:59 p.m. two days after you receive a given bonus–to complete the wagering. This will help if you have more than one bonus to clear. However, you can only clear one bonus at a time.
As with all bonuses, opting out, attempting to withdraw unavailable funds prematurely, or failure to complete the necessary wagering on time will result in forfeiture of both the bonus and any associated winnings.
Early Bird Special
Last, but certainly not least, here’s an offer you can access all month long not just one or two days of the week but every weekday.
Most of the other bonuses we have described are valid for just one day of the week only, but you get to choose the time. However, the Worker’s Comp bonus offered on both Mondays and Thursdays is valid only from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Sunset Bonus is only in effect from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesdays.
The times for the Early Bird Special are also restricted. But if you’re an early riser, you will love this offer.
Claim 10 free spins on the featured slot on your mobile device between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. any August weekday!
Don’t worry. This is the time period to opt in to the promotion, not to take the free spins. You will be given ample time to take the free spins later, so you can go back to sleep, if you wish, or leave home at your usual time and not be late for work.
How to participate in the Borgata Online Casino Early Bird Special
What a great way to liven up your weekday–taking 10 free spins on your iOS or Android device during your coffee or lunch break! And if you’re lucky, you could pick up a nice chunk of bonus money, too. Here’s what you need to do to get started:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account any weekday in August between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
- Go to My Promotions and opt into the Early Bird Special.
- After 10 a.m., check the Free Spins section to activate and take your 10 free spins on the featured slot.
Which slot game will you be playing? That’s a mystery!
While you won’t know which slot you will be playing ahead of time, there’s a good chance it will be one of your favorites because all of the featured slots are from NetEnt. That’s more great news because NetEnt slots are some of the top paying NJ online casino slots. Every slot from this top-of-the-line manufacturer has a return to player (RTP) of 96 percent or better. The exceptionally high RTP translates into a high probability of winning.
You can take your free spins as soon as you activate them or later, whichever is more convenient. However, you must complete all of your free spins by 11:59 p.m. the following day.
Wagering requirements for your winnings
Since you’re not putting up any money of your own, all winnings from the 10 free spins will be paid in the form of bonus money rather than immediately withdrawable cash. The wagering requirement for the bonus money is 20x the bonus.
All games count 100 percent, so feel free to play any game you wish. Also, while you won’t earn any iRPs on your free spins, you will earn them on all of your wagers to clear the bonus.
You have just 24 hours from the time you receive your bonus winnings to complete the required wagering. While the playthrough is still in progress, neither the bonus money itself nor any additional winnings therefrom will be available to you. However, as soon as you finish clearing the bonus, provided you do so on time, you will have access to this money. As with all bonuses, opting out, attempting to withdraw unavailable funds prematurely, or failure to complete the required wagering on time will cause you to forfeit the bonus and any additional winnings therefrom in their entirety.
The bottom line
With so many bonuses being offered day after day every day of the week, you’ll be more tempted than ever to play every day. That’s fine if you have the time and funds to do so. Otherwise, be mindful about what you can realistically afford to wager and don’t exceed those limits. No bonus is worth chasing if it is going to jeopardize your bankroll.
Used wisely, there’s no reason why the Borgata bonus bonanza can’t be a big bankroll booster for you this August.
If you’re a registered player at Borgata Online Casino or are thinking of becoming one, you are about to learn how playing on this NJ gambling website in August is going to be more rewarding than ever.
Have you ever heard of any NJ online casino offering Worker’s Comp benefits? I don’t think so. However, this month, Borgata Online Casino is giving brand new meaning to the term.
Forget the notion that you have to work hard from 9 to 5 to get the benefits you deserve or not even those. Instead, during those hours every Monday and Thursday during the entire month of August, Borgata will make it well worth your while to play to your heart’s content.
Keep climbing up the iRP loyalty rewards ladder and every time you reach a new iRP milestone, Borgata will reward you with bonus dollars!
How to participate in the Borgata Online August Worker’s Comp promotion
This promotion runs every Monday and Thursday in August starting with Monday, August 5 and ending on Thursday, August 29. Therefore, to be eligible for the maximum bonus dollars benefits possible, you should opt in on both days all four weeks.
Here is what you need to do to participate:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every Monday and Thursday in August.
- Go to the Promotions tab and opt into the Worker’s Comp promotion.
- Start playing!
You can play any game you wish, but keep in mind that your goal is to try to earn as many iRPs as possible. The minimum number of iRPs you need to earn on any given day of the promotion to qualify for a reward is 750. This will entitle you to $25 bonus dollars immediately.
However, with continued play, you can earn much more. Each time you reach a new designated iRP level, you will get another instant bonus. On any given day, you can potentially earn up to $750 bonus dollars! That would be quite a payday!
Since only play between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. counts, you should start playing as early in that window of time as possible.
No deposit is required. However, if your account balance is low, you should consider making one to ensure that you have sufficient funds on hand for your intended level of play.
The more you play, the bigger your pay!
This Borgata Online Casino promotion includes six different levels of cumulative bonuses based on the number of iRPs you earn. The following table lists the amount of each bonus along with the minimum of iRPs needed to receive it.
|750 iRPs||$25 BONUS DOLLARS|
|1500 iRPs||$50 BONUS DOLLARS|
|2500 iRPs||$75 BONUS DOLLARS|
|3000 iRPs||$100 BONUS DOLLARS|
|6000 iRPs||$200 BONUS DOLLARS|
|9000 iRPs||$300 BONUS DOLLARS|
Each bonus you earn will be credited to your account immediately. As you can see, with every successive threshold, the bonus keeps getting bigger. If you reach all six thresholds by the 5 p.m. deadline, your sixth and final bonus will be $300, which will give you a total bonus dollars payout for the day of $750!
Hopefully, between 9 and 5, at least on all of the Borgata Online Casino Worker’s Comp days, even if you have to work at your regular job, you will also find time to work on earning iRPs. But don’t think of it as work because all you have to do on BorgataCasino.com is log in and play your favorite games. The more you play, the bigger your pay!
Bet what you can afford
The last statement notwithstanding, I would be remiss if I did not also include the following caveat.
As with any promotion, as tempting as it may be to play longer than you should, risking more money than you should to qualify for a bigger bonus, my advice is to limit your play to what you can comfortably afford. Also, keep in mind that all rewards are in the form of bonus money with an additional 15x bonus wagering requirement, not immediately withdrawable cash.
Therefore, if you’re a small stakes player and/or your bankroll is limited, the higher level bonuses are probably beyond your reach. So accept that and be content with a small bonus.
Borgata Online Casino Worker’s Comp bonus wagering requirements
All bonuses awarded in this promotion come with a wagering requirement of 15x the bonus. You may clear the bonus with any game you choose, and it will count 100 percent.
Therefore, if you enjoy playing one of the lower house edge table games like blackjack or video poker, as long as you know the correct basic strategy, you should consider clearing the bonus with that game instead of slots. 15 times the bonus is a rather steep wagering requirement for slots, but considerably less wagering than most NJ online casinos require for video poker and blackjack. And when played correctly, you get the added benefit of a lower house edge than with even the best slots.
You have up to three days from the time you receive each bonus to complete the necessary wagering.
Additional terms and conditions
Borgata Online Casino allows you to have more than one active bonus in your account simultaneously. So if you earn more than one bonus on the same day, it won’t be a problem. However, you can only clear one bonus at a time. So start with the earliest bonus first and work your way through the rest of them one by one.
Presumably, the possibility of receiving more than one bonus on the same day is the reason why you are being given an extra two days to meet the wagering requirements. Most Borgata Online Casino bonuses stipulate that all of the wagering must be completed by 11:59 p.m. the very next day. Even so, it would be a mistake to procrastinate, especially if you have multiple bonuses to clear.
Along with all of the iRPs you will have earned in order to qualify for your bonuses, you will earn more iRPs from your wagers to clear each bonus. Wagers made with the bonus money count as well as those made with your own money.
While the required wagering for a given bonus is still in progress, both the bonus money itself and any additional winnings therefrom will remain temporarily locked into account. You will have full access to this money (or whatever is left of it) as soon as you have finished clearing the bonus, provided you do so within the allotted time frame. Opting out, attempting to withdraw unavailable funds prematurely, or failure to complete the required wagering on time will result in forfeiture of both the bonus and any bonus-associated winnings.
Why it pays to sign up for the Borgata Worker’s Comp promotion
The promotion described here is valid for play on Mondays and Thursdays only, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. only, and during the month of August only. Whether or not Borgata Online Casino will extend the offer for future months remains to be seen. But in the meantime, since this offer is a good one, my advice is to try to take advantage insofar as possible this month while you know you can.
The best feature: You’re in control
Worker’s comp benefits are a much appreciated perk that many jobs offer, and the very different type of “worker’s comp” benefits that Borgata Online Casino is offering you in this promotion are an added extra you are certain to like as well. In this case, what is especially nice is that throughout the whole promotion, it’s you who is in the driver’s seat.
First, it’s entirely up to you which days you play, for how long, and for what amount of money. As long as you play enough to earn 750 iRPs, a bonus is guaranteed. However, if you wish to and can afford to play more to earn a bigger reward, go for it.
Later, when you receive your bonuses, you can choose which games you would like to play and for what stakes to clear each bonus. Furthermore, you don’t have to complete the wagering in just one day, as you do with most of the bonuses on BorgataCasino.com. You have the option to take up to three days. Small players are strongly advised to take advantage of this extra time and spread out their play accordingly, rather than rush to clear a bonus in its entirety in a single playing session.
But what if your regular job is 9 to 5?
Unfortunately, those of you work from 9 to 5 Monday-Friday on your regular job won’t be able to participate in this promotion to the extent you might like. Obviously, your boss would frown on your playing online casino games during work hours. However, you can still squeeze in some playing time during your lunch hour and breaks.
Whatever your schedule, find the block of time within the Monday and Thursday 9-5 time block each week that works for you best and play during those times.
The bottom line
This promotion offers a great opportunity to pick up lots of extra bonus dollars simply for doing what you are doing already—playing your favorite online casino games. If you’re a Borgata Online Casino player, how can you turn down a winning offer like that?
Live Dealer games VS other NJ online casino games
The Live Dealer platform is unique. On the one hand, you get to enjoy all the convenience of being able to play your favorite casino table games online or on your mobile device anytime you wish.
On the other hand, you also get the social interaction you would otherwise miss online and would ordinarily have to travel to an actual casino to experience.
Instead of playing against a machine, you take your seat at a virtual table along with other players like yourself and a real dealer who spins the wheel and deals out the cards in real time. You can even have a conversation with the dealer and other players, just like in a real casino. No wonder NJ online players love live dealer games!
What players missed in the early Live Dealer games
But sometimes even a great game could be made better, and with Live Dealer games, two areas in need of improvement for a long time have been the following:
Not offered 24/7
Unlike other NJ online casino games, which you could always play anytime you wanted, 24/7, Live Dealer games operated only during the busier hours of the day and evening.
So, for example, if you wanted to play at 5 a.m., or even at 11 a.m., you were out of luck.
- Not enough special promotions
Special promotions featuring Live Dealer games, such as deposit match bonuses or the opportunity to earn extra loyalty points, or win prizes, have been few and far between.
Now Borgata is extending the hours and giving you even more chances to win playing Live Dealer Games
Borgata Online Casino has responded by expanding the operating hours for all of its Live Dealer tables to 24/7. You can now play the Live Dealer game of your choice whenever you wish.
In addition, for the remainder of June, Borgata Online Casino is giving you a chance to snag extra cash playing your favorite Live Dealer games. The top 100 players on the leaderboard will each win a share of $50,000 cash.
How the Borgata Live Dealer Leaderboard contest works
The Borgata $50,000 Live Dealer Leaderboard promotion started on June 14 and continues for the remainder of the month through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 30. So even if you didn’t start playing on day 1, you still have plenty of time to rack up points and move up the leaderboard.
Every $100 that you wager on any Borgata Live Dealer game, either online or on your mobile device, through the end of the promotion period will earn you 1 leaderboard point. Then on Monday, July 1, Borgata Online Casino will determine the final rankings and distribute the prizes to the top 100 players.
More good news is that all prizes will be credited to your account in the form of immediately withdrawable cash, not bonus money. In other words, there are no further wagering requirements.
Of course, any winnings you register along the way in your course of your play are yours to keep whether you rank on the leaderboard or not.
How to participate in the Borgata Live Dealer Leaderboard contest
In order to get started, here’s what you need to do:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account so you can opt into the promotion, the sooner the better.
- Go to the Promotions tab and opt into the Live Dealer Leaderboard.
- Play your favorite Borgata Live Dealer games.
The Live Dealer games that are eligible for this promotion include all of the following:
- American Blackjack
- Unlimited Blackjack
- American Roulette
- Dragon Bonus Baccarat
- Casino Hold’em
Distribution of prizes
As mentioned, the top 100 players on the leaderboard will each win a share of the prize pool. The following table shows how the prizes will be distributed.
As you can see, this is a giveaway where all of the prizes are worth playing for. The prizes for those who rank at or near the top of the leaderboard are huge, but even the smallest prizes are quite generous. Players who rank 51-100 will each win $50 cash, while the top three players win $7,500, $10,000, and $15,000 cash, respectively.
All prize winners will be notified by email on Monday, July 1 and receive the cash credit to their account the same day. You can then withdraw the money immediately, or if you prefer, use any or all of it for additional play.
- Live Baccarat: 98.94 percent RTP (banker), 98.76 percent RTP (player)
- Live Casino Hold’em: 97.84 percent RTP
- Craps: 83.33 – 98.64 percent RTP (3x Max Odds)
- Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker: 97.84 percent RTP
Finding Borgata’s table games
Borgata Casino makes finding its selection of table games easy.
There’s a series of links underneath the Borgata Casino banner at the top of the page.
Click on the link labeled ‘Table Games‘ and you’ll see a list of all Borgata table games and video poker games in title tile format.
There’s also a search box over on the right-hand side of the page where you can type in the name of any table game to see if its on the site.
Alternative table games on Borgata Casino
Here’s a little information about each of Borgata Casino’s four alternative table games:
There is no online baccarat game at Borgata.
However, there is Live Baccarat, an online and live-game hybrid that closely mirrors the same baccarat game found at most land-based casinos.
Two two-card hands are dealt. One hand goes to the banker spot and the other to the player spot.
Players bet on which one will be closer to a value of nine or if they will tie.
Live Baccarat on Borgata has real-life dealers using real cards to play the game. Players watch a live stream of the action and bet using an online interface. Players can also chat with the dealer online.
Live Casino Hold’em
Casino Hold’em is basically a casino game version of Texas Hold’em poker.
The big difference is that instead of playing against one another, players in casino hold’em go up against the dealer.
The object is simply to make a better five-card poker hand than the dealer using your two cards and five community cards.
Live Casino Hold’em at Borgata Casino is an online and live-game hybrid that is essentially same Casino Hold’em game you might find at a brick and mortar casino. The game employs real-life live dealers, real cards and an online interface that allows players to watch a feed of the action and bet on it.
Craps is one of the loudest and most fun games in any brick and mortar casino.
Developers have yet to capture the social aspects of the game and put them online. However, online craps is available at Borgata, and as a mirror image of the game at brick and mortar casino, it offers players a solid Craps learning tool.
Online craps can be played at a player’s own pace, giving each the time to educate themselves regarding the game’s many intricacies.
With just three-times Max Odds, Borgata’s version of craps isn’t the best available online, but it isn’t the worst either.
The basics of craps are the same no matter where you play. Player’s bet on the pass line or don’t pass line. Then, they roll the dice. This is called the come-out roll and it determines the point. Unless a seven or 11 winner is rolled. Or, a two, three, or 12 crap out.
Once the point is set, players can make odds bets up to the game’s maximum. These bets have no house edge.
Roll the point before a seven and all odds and pass bets are paid.
Players can also place bets on various props, numbers, and groups of numbers listed on the table.
Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker
Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker is essentially Casino Hold’em, a casino game version of Texas Hold’em poker.
Players go up against the dealer in an effort to make a better five-card poker hand using two hole cards and five community cards.
The difference between Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker and Borgata’s Live Casino Hold’em is that the former is an electronic version of the game hosted online and the latter is an online and live-game hybrid.
Both are very much the same Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker game you might find at a land-based casino.
But you can win more money playing progressive jackpot slots on Borgata Casino than any other online casino in the state.
Borgata’s Big One series
This is thanks to the Borgata’s Big One series. The series consists of five different jackpots at different levels that as of the beginning of June 2019 amounted to over $2.7 million.
The five jackpots that make up Borgata’s Big One series are:
- Blitz Cash Jackpot
- Quick Cash Jackpot
- Super Cash Jackpot
- Mega Cash Jackpot
- Colossal Cash Jackpot
All five jackpots are progressive. That means they grow with every spin on one of the five Big One series slots.
All five jackpots are triggered randomly. Although, the bigger a player’s bet the higher the chances of winning a jackpot will be. It’s also worth noting that free spins cannot trigger jackpots.
The five Big One series slots that offer players a chance at these massive jackpots are:
- Biker Pigs
- Luck ‘O The Jackpot
- Going Nuts
- Melon Madness
Every spin on any one of these online slots offers players the chance to win a Big One jackpot. Players that do win are randomly transported to the Borgata Big Series Jackpot screen.
There they will find a list of all five jackpots and a color wheel.
Players spin the wheel and it changes colors until randomly stopping on one color. Every color corresponds to one of the five Big Series jackpots.
Finding the Big One progressive jackpot slots
Borgata Casino makes finding the five slots in its Big One series quite easy.
First off, there’s a series of links underneath the Borgata Casino banner at the top of the page. Click on the link labeled ‘Slots‘ and you’ll see a list of all Borgata Casino slots in title tile format.
If there’s a purple banner on a slots title tile with a dollar figure on it, that means it’s a progressive jackpot slot. Borgata’s Big One series slots are the ones with the largest dollar figure on them.
There’s also a link labeled ‘Jackpot Slots‘ that will take you to a list of all Borgata Casino jackpot slots in title tile format. This link makes fiding Borgata’s Big One series slots even easier.
Of course, you can always skip the links, drag the cursor over to the right-hand side of the page, and type in the name of any of the slots listed above in Borgata’s ‘Search Games’ box.
No matter which method you choose, Borgata NJ online Casino’s Big One series slots are easy to find and you’ll be playing for the chance to win millions in no time.
Borgata Online Casino now offers an exciting new option to give you even more ways to win. It’s the long-awaited but finally up and running online/mobile companion to the Borgata Race & Sports Book at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City–Borgata Sports.
On Wednesday, May 29, I told you all about a special welcome offer that the Borgata affiliated playMGM.com was offering first time sports bettors. However, starting Thursday, May 30, BorgataSports is also making you an offer you can’t refuse.
And best of all, this offer is valid for any registered BorgataCasino.com player making his or her first NBA Finals bet, even if you have already made other sports bets on the site.
Pick your team—Golden State or Toronto
The 2019 NBA playoffs teams that back in April numbered 16 are now down to the final two–the best in the East vs. the best in the West. On Thursday, May 30, starting at 9 p.m., the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors will meet in game 1 of the NBA Finals. This Best of Seven Series will ultimately decide which team will be crowned this year’s NBA champion.
Who will it be? Will it be the highly favored Golden State Warriors, who are seeking a three-peat, or the don’t count them out Toronto Raptors, who have already demonstrated an uncanny way to “claw” their way back into games even when they are behind double digits?
As the showdown unfolds, all across the US, sports fans will be watching and following every step of the action. But for players on NJ gambling websites like BorgataSports, it’s especially exciting because for the first time in history, you can bet on these games legally.
Get More with Every Score!
In addition to betting on which team you think will win the NBA championship, BorgataSports accepts both moneyline and point spread bets, along with specialty bets like parlays, props and in-play bets on individual games and players. This special offer is for your first NBA Finals bet and is limited to moneyline bets only. The bet must be on a single game before the game starts.
Here’s the offer and how to access it:
- Log into your BorgataCasino.com account and go to BorgataSports.
- Place your first NBA Finals bet. This bet must be a moneyline wager of $20 or more on either Golden State or Toronto on an NBA Finals game.
- If your team wins, in addition to the payout you would get ordinarily, BorgataSports will pay you an extra $2 cash for each point that your team wins by!
Additional terms and conditions
If you want to make your qualifying wager on game 1 of the NBA Finals being played Thursday, May 30 you can, as long as you do so before tip-off time. Or, if you prefer, you can wait for a later game in the series.
However, unlike most bonus offers, where it doesn’t matter if your qualifying bet wins or loses or you can only get the bonus if you lose, this one only applies if your qualifying cash bet is a winner. So make your selection carefully.
It doesn’t matter if the team you bet on covers the point spread or not as long as it wins the game outright. If it loses the game outright, you not only lose your moneyline bet, but also forfeit the cash bonus, which could be even bigger than the moneyline bet (especially if it’s a small wager on the favorite).
Every point counts
However, if you pick correctly, on top of whatever your winning bet pays, you can win a lot more. How much more will depend entirely on the margin of victory. Every point your team wins by will put an extra $2 cash in your pocket. So, for example, if your team wins by 25 points, you win an extra $50. The maximum amount of extra cash you can win is $100. However, the team you bet on would have to win by 50 points, which is extremely unlikely.
If you’re eligible for the bonus payout, the money will be credited to your BorgataCasino.com account within 72 hours after the final score is official. No additional wagering is required. So the money is available to withdraw immediately. Or if you prefer, you can either wager it in on casino games or transfer it back into BorgataSports.
The bottom line: Is the BorgataSports NBA Finals Bonus Cash offer a good one?
This offer couldn’t come at a better time. How could you not want to have a bet riding on the NBA Finals, and this offer gives you an extra way to win. It’s also a great offer because you can make your qualifying moneyline bet any size you want from $20 on up. The amount of your wager has no bearing on the size of your bonus, which will depend solely on how many points your team wins by.
Another great feature is that BorgataSports will pay off not only the sports bet itself but also the bonus payout in the form of an immediately withdrawable cash credit to your account. Most bonuses that you receive on NJ gambling websites come with additional–frequently hefty–wagering requirements you have to meet before you can access either the bonus itself or any additional related winnings. This one doesn’t require any additional wagering at all!
One not so great feature of this offer is that if it’s a very tight game that goes down to the wire, the bonus payout will be tiny. Many games are decided by only one basket, and at this stage of the competition, such a result is very conceivable. In other words, you could wind up with only a $2 or $4 bonus! Moreover, if your team loses, besides losing your moneyline wager, your bonus is zilch.
On the other hand, a little advance handicapping could pay off in a big way. Try to pinpoint a game where logic tells you that one team will beat the other by a sizable margin. Then go ahead and make your bet with confidence that you will indeed get more with every score.
The market-leading resort in Atlantic City will invest more than $11 million into the development of a new sportsbook.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced its plans Wednesday to add a venue that will combine an entertaining bar environment with legal sports gambling.
The new Borgata sportsbook will debut this summer.
Borgata was the first Atlantic City casino to take a legal sports bet last June.
Since then, Borgata partnered with GVC Holdings to launch its mobile sports betting app, playMGM.
The online sportsbook brought in just under $200,000 in revenue in November. The casino, including its temporary sportsbook, topped more than $1 million in total revenue in sports wagers for the month.
Borgata sportsbook gets new life
As New Jersey sports betting continues to get more popular and grow, AC casinos must adjust to make its sportsbook experience more appealing to potential customers.
With this plan set in stone, Borgata is taking another step forward in solidifying its place among the top of the NJ sports betting market.
Marcus Glover, president and COO for Borgata, was eager to to put the plans in motion:
“Since Borgata arrived in the Atlantic City market more than 15 years ago, we have maintained a steadfast dedication to property growth and development, with our new concept exemplifying this objective. We are proud to have been at the forefront of legalized sports betting in New Jersey and look forward to advancing our product with an innovative gaming and entertainment experience for our guests to enjoy.”
Borgata, owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, is hoping its expertise in sports betting can lead the casino to more success.
It’s unknown what amenities to expect at the new sportsbook; one can imagine it being on par with what MGM has been able to do in Las Vegas.
MGM has more than 25 years of experience in Nevada sports wagering. Its resorts pull in an annual handle of more than $1 billion.
Closing the gap in NJ sports betting
Despite having the ability to bet on sports within the casino, Borgata didn’t have a place dedicated strictly to being a sportsbook — until now. It has been using its pre-existing racebook as a temporary fixture.
This could be a large part of the discrepancy between the Borgata sportsbook revenue compared to others in the city.
The brand new William Hill Sportsbook at Ocean Resort Casino has been doing substantially better than Borgata. Its 7,500-square-foot area has been extremely profitable and has gotten great reviews.
Ocean’s retail book earned revenue of nearly $2 million in November, more than double Borgata.
By committing to a permanent area worth $11 million, Borgata is making a hard push to challenge Ocean. It hopes to claim the top spot in Atlantic City sports betting. Perhaps the new venue will differentiate Borgata from its peers and give bettors an unparalleled experience.
Between the leftover Halloween candy still in your cupboard and Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, November could be a tough month indeed if you’re trying to watch your weight.
Even if you can surmount those hurdles Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City is going all out to make its own once-a-year Savor Borgata special events taking place this weekend not only enticing but irresistible.
Since Savor Borgata happens to be the biggest and best food and wine extravaganza in Atlantic City, my advice is to go ahead and enjoy yourself.
Other special food promotions in Atlantic City
Over the course of the year, different Atlantic City casinos have held special events centered around food and wine. For example, last spring the Tropicana celebrated Bacon Week and during the summer, Golden Nugget held its annual Wine Fest.
In addition, the current annual 50 Bites promotion, in which many Atlantic City casino restaurants are participating, continues through Nov. 29. Ordinarily, the cost is $50 per person, but tickets are now bargain priced at only $25 per person.
What makes Savor Borgata different
All of the above relatively small-scale events, and many more, are worth attending. However, they are just a warm-up for Savor Borgata. This is a festival that receives national attention and food lovers from all over the country come to check out.
So should you, even if you do most of your casino play online. Even if you live some distance away from Atlantic City, availing yourself of the opportunity to sample exquisite creations prepared by some of the top chefs in America makes it worth the trip.
There is no doubt that playing your favorite games on NJ gambling websites is fun and convenient. But one thing that’s missing there and you have to travel to Atlantic City to experience is the outstanding offering of world class casino restaurants.
While the Atlantic City casino hotels have always offered eclectic and sometimes superior dining, now more than ever before, some of the best restaurants in town are owned by and feature the cuisine of celebrity chefs. And no Atlantic City casino resort has more celebrity chefs under one roof than the Borgata.
Savor Borgata offers the ultimate food and wine experience
Of course, you can visit the Borgata anytime you like and eat at the restaurant of your choice. But some of these places are quite expensive. Maybe there is a particular restaurant there you have wanted to try for a long time, but have hesitated due to the price.
Or maybe you’re a food and wine connoisseur who is highly interested in meeting the master chefs behind these restaurants and learning some of their special culinary secrets. If it’s simply a random day when you go, it’s highly unlikely that you will have that opportunity.
During Savor Borgata Restaurant Week, which started Monday, November 5 and ends with dinner Friday, November 9, you can enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner at select restaurants for a greatly reduced price.
During Savor Borgata Weekend—Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10—no less than 18 special events will take place. The lineup includes cooking demonstrations, book signings, hands-on lessons from Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, and Wolfgang Puck, and gourmet meals prepared especially for this occasion.
Savor Borgata Restaurant Week
Friday, Nov. 9 is the last day. Here is the list of participating restaurants:
Lunch – 3 Course Meal | $19 per person
Dinner – 3 Course Meal | $39 per person
Dinner – 3 Course Meal | $65 per person
If you plan to have dinner during Savor Borgata Restaurant Week, reservations are a must. You can make your reservations online or, if you prefer, by calling the restaurant directly.
If you wish to stay overnight, check with the hotel to see if the special room package including a $100 fine dining credit is still available.
Savor Borgata Weekend
Unfortunately, many of the special events this weekend are already “sold out.” However, if you would like to attend and have a host, maybe he or she can pull some strings and get you a ticket. It’s certainly worth a try.
Of course, even the events that are still available could sell out later. So your best bet is to decide now what interests you the most and book those events online. Complete details on all of the Savor Borgata Weekend events, including the sold out ones, along with instructions for reserving those that are still available, are provided here.
Below is a list and brief description of the events for which tickets are still available.
Friday, Nov. 9

In addition to the award-winning regular Buffet, the meal includes Executive Chef Tom Biglan’s family-style favorites and signature cuts of meat served tableside, accompanied by red or white wine.

- Playing with Fire by Michael Symon Book Signing: 3:30 p.m. at Angeline – No reservations needed. Free except for optional book purchase.
- Tacos and Tequila: 4 p.m. at the Gypsy Bar, $44 – Small plates and tequila pairings
If it’s any consolation, most of the other events, which are sold out, are considerably more expensive.
There’s something for everyone at Savor Borgata
Savor Borgata is a unique experience offering something for everyone. Furthermore, all of the Restaurant Week meals and many weekend events are reasonably priced, so if cost is a factor, no problem. You can still attend. However, in virtually all instances, alcohol is served, so you must be 21 or older.
Don’t miss this once a year opportunity to indulge your cravings and tantalize your taste buds at the biggest food and wine festival in Atlantic City.
Following the opening of both Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Ocean Resort Casino on June 28, 2018, Atlantic City now boasts a total of nine casino resorts.
Of course, they all have hotels attached, helping make Atlantic City more than just a seaside town full of places to gamble. In fact, the hotels at Atlantic City casinos feature a variety high-end rooms and suites and the kind of luxury amenities that make Atlantic City a top East Coast vacation destination.
Each has so much to offer, it can be difficult to choose between them. However, there is one Atlantic City casino resort property that has stood head and shoulders above the rest since it opened 15 years ago.
In fact, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is far and way the best Atlantic City casino hotel. Just ask the internet.
While the online user review site Tripadvisor lists Borgata as the number two hotel in Atlantic City behind Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino, there is a bevy of sites that say it’s number one. That list includes:
- Hotel.com’s 8 best hotels in Atlantic City
- Expedia.com’s 10 Best Luxury Hotels in Atlantic City, NJ
- US News & World Report’s 7 best hotels in Atlantic City
- Time Out New York’s best Atlantic City hotels
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is a Las Vegas-style casino resort and hotel that opened back in 2003 and has been the market leader ever since.
Its 161,000-square-foot casino has as many as 3,500 slots, more than 250 table games, and is home to the East Coast’s premier poker room.
Dining options on the property include restaurants designed by celebrity chef’s such as Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Puck. Entertainment includes a 2,400-seat event center that hosts some of the biggest acts in show business, another 1,000-seat theater, and four of the most popular nightclubs in the area.
The 2,000-room hotel tower offers some of the most comfortable and luxurious accommodations on the East Coast. Plus, there are another 800 even more luxurious rooms overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at The Water Club Hotel at Borgata next door.
The Borgata hotel tower corridors feature warm colors, rich textures, and dramatic lighting designed to relieve stress. The journey into relaxation continues in the private rooms that feature elegantly appointed furniture and decor and premium amenities. Guests enjoy luxurious bedding, pampering toiletries, plush robes and high-end bath and shower features. Plus, all the rooms have free WiFi and coffee and tea.
Borgata hotel tower suites also feature multiple entertainment areas, plush sofas, and his and her vanities.
Those who think hotels are more about the amenities than the rooms will also enjoy what Borgata has to offer.
There are six pools on the property surrounded by lush landscaping. Each has a variety of chaise lounges, daybeds, private cabanas, underwater music, and poolside service. Borgata even has an indoor pool, while The Water Club has three.
Between the Water Club at Borgata and Borgata itself, there are also two spas, two fitness centers, and five boutique shopping experiences. Plus, there are more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Borgata’s concierge is also on call to help with any guest request. In fact, the service and facilities at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa are unparalleled in their excellence.
Steve Wynn and Mirage Resorts actually came up with the initial plan to build Borgata. In 1995, they started making plans to build a Las Vegas-style casino in AC. The plan was to build on land in Atlantic City’s marina area and call it Le Cardin hotel-casino.
The project stalled alongside a planned expansion of the Atlantic City Expressway out to the marina area.
In 2000, MGM Grand Inc. bought out Mirage Resorts and canceled plans to build Le Cardin. However, the Expressway expansion came back on track. Then, Boyd Gaming and the newly formed MGM-Mirage broke ground on a very similar $1 billion joint venture called Borgata Casino and Resort at Renaissance Pointe later that year.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa opened its doors on July 2, 2003. It immediately became the most successful casino in Atlantic City and remains the market leader to date.
Borgata underwent a $200 million expansion in 2006 and opened the $400 million Water Club two years later.
In 2010, MGM Mirage got in some hot water with local gaming regulators. Apparently, a Hong Kong business partner had ties to Chinese organized crime.
MGM Mirage was forced to sell its 50 percent interest in the Borgata in a settlement with the state. However, it never did it, putting the company’s interest in the property in a trust instead.
Boyd Gaming became the Borgata’s operating partner. Later that year, MGM Mirage changed its name to MGM Resorts International.
MGM takes Borgata back
Three years later, it petitioned regulators to take back its 50 percent ownership in Borgata. In 2014, the Casino Control Commission voted to allow MGM Resorts International to take back its ownership stake.
MGM later entered into an agreement to acquire Boyd Gaming’s 50 percent interest in Borgata for $900 million.
In June 2017, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa got rid of its proprietary Borgata Rewards loyalty program in favor of MGM Resorts International Mlife Rewards loyalty program.
Not to take anything anyway from Atlantic City’s huge celebration of its 40th year of casino gambling and Resorts in particular for being the only casino there from day one and now also turning 40, because both achievements are remarkable.
But another Atlantic City casino resort has every right to celebrate, too, and that’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
Congratulations to the Borgata not only for consistently leading the way and outperforming the competition in both overall revenue and in being innovative and forward-thinking, but in doing it year after year for 15 years!
Borgata Atlantic City has the right stuff
Since its inception in July 2003, the Borgata has consistently led all other Atlantic City casinos in gambling revenue month after month. Even during Atlantic City’s most turbulent years, when other casinos closed or were in danger of closing, the Borgata did more than just coast along — it was the in place for people to gather not only on weekends but any day.
Whether to gamble in the casino, feast on innovative dishes of celebrity chefs, see top headliners in the Event Center or dance the night away in the hottest clubs, as a sure bet to have fun, there was and still is no place like the Borgata.
As Rebecca King points out in her article in the July 5-11, 2018 issue of Atlantic City Weekly,
For the past 15 years, Borgata has been “booking the biggest headliners, collaborating with the best chefs and offering one of the most stylish nights A.C. has to offer.”
Partnership with MGM Resorts
In 2016, the Borgata in Atlantic City took another big leap forward in becoming part of the MGM Resorts International family.
Obviously, the partnership means bigger and better player benefits since you can now combine the player rewards earned at the Borgata with those earned at any other participating MGM Resorts casino.
In addition, most of the same sports (and horse races) that you can bet in the MGM-run sportsbooks in Las Vegas you can now bet at the Borgata, too. In fact, the partnership with MGM should be an enormous help in expediting the enhancements to the Borgata Race & Sports Book now in progress.
What is the secret to Borgata’s great success?
Undoubtedly, a combination of factors has contributed to the continuing success and popularity of this casino resort.
However, one important contributor has to be the fact that this has never been a casino to rest on its laurels. Instead, Borgata has always been one step ahead of its competitors, continually growing and evolving with the times and offering exciting new options to meet the changing demands of today’s and tomorrow’s clientele.
Here are just a few of the amenities that guests can look forward to when they visit.
- More than 3,500 slot games and more than 180 table games
- The largest poker room in Atlantic City
- Eclectic fine dining options including restaurants by celebrity chefs Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, Wolfgang Puck, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Michael Schulson
- Some of the top names in entertainment at the Event Center and Music Box
- Premier Nightclub
- The Water Club
- Marketplace Eatery, Borgata Beer Garden, and outdoor pool
- $50 million guest room redesign in 2012 and another $50 million spent on property-wide renovations in 2016
- Only Atlantic City casino with a race book
- First Atlantic City casino to offer sports betting
At the forefront of innovation
Mike Woodside, Borgata’s vice president of marketing, attributes the property’s phenomenal success in large part to the “amazing group of brilliant and creative team members who are always on the forefront of new and innovative initiatives.”
He also stated that “constant reinvention of our business has been a core principle” from the get-go and the plan is to “continue pushing the envelope and developing the type of exciting and engaging product that our customers have come to anticipate and expect.”
A casino that prides itself not only on being the best, but being first
Many years ago, the Borgata was the first casino not only in Atlantic City, but in the whole country, to introduce coinless slot machines. Then in 2013, the Borgata was the first Atlantic City casino to be granted an NJ online gambling license.
Now fast forward another five years to the present. The Borgata was the first Atlantic City casino to open a sportsbook!
No wonder, an average of 3,500 to 5,500 people visit the Borgata every day.
Borgata celebrates its 15th anniversary all summer long
Special occasions call for big celebrations, and this summer the Borgata is planning lots of them.
Following up on the elaborate dinner party at Old Homestead on Friday, July 6, two more Borgata restaurants are hosting their own big dinner parties in August.
- Friday, Aug. 3: Izakaya’s 10th Birthday: Seatings at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m, $100
- Saturday, Aug. 11: Sunset party with Wolfgang Puck at the Borgata Water Club Outdoor Pool, 7 p.m., $150
Then circle Saturday, Sept. 1 on your calendar, too, for your last cookout of the summer. At 1 p.m., the Gypsy Bar is hosting a Ketel One Summer Cookout. The cost is $44.
The Borgata has also scheduled lots of megastar entertainment. While both Britney Spears and Cher are reportedly “sold out,” some of the other headliners you can still get tickets for are Halsey (July 14), Jerry Seinfeld (July 27),Camila Cabello (July 30), Kings of Leon (Aug. 5), and Stevie Wonder (Aug. 25 and 26).
There’s no doubt about it — with so many exciting things happening at the Borgata all summer long, this is a place you will want to visit often.
Congratulations and Happy Birthday to Atlantic City and especially to Resorts Hotel Casino on 40 amazing years of casino gambling.
And last, but not least: Congratulations and Happy Birthday to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa as it celebrates its 15th big year in Atlantic City.
